About Me

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
 

I am Abū Lailā Abdul-Khaliq ibn Carlos, a seeker of knowledge striving to live a life anchored in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah while guiding my family and community toward an akhirah-centered life. I live in America, where I balance family, work, and study while striving to remain steadfast on this path. I am currently studying Shāfiʿī Jurisprudence, deepening my understanding of worship and law to apply it and teach it with clarity and sincerity, based on the creed and understanding of Ahl Us-Sunnah wa Al-Jama'ah.

This journey led me to establish Abu Laila L.L.C. as a space where learning, reflection, and creativity intersect, allowing me to share the fruits of what I learn and create with others seeking depth and balance in a noisy world.

Through art, structured study, and simple reminders, I aim to remind myself and others that our time in this dunya is a trust, and each moment we use to gain beneficial knowledge or create beauty that points back to Allāh is a seed planted for our akhirah. Whether it is a geometric piece drawn in the quiet of pre-dawn hours, a small treatise on Tawḥīd, or a lesson on Arabic grammar, everything here is shared with the intention that it brings light to your home and clarity to your path, just as it does for me and my family.
